Local premium body and home care brand Botanical Essentials collaborated with Haluu for the launch campaign of its seven premium perfume variants through an immersive exhibition installation titled “Scentarium: A Life Journey through Scent”.

In this installation, I contributed to the development of an interactive application for an immersive tunnel-shaped room that combines visual projection with Hokuyo LiDAR sensors.

To create a gentle and elegant interactive experience, the tunnel floor was projected with visuals of flowers floating on the surface of water.

When visitors pass through, the flowers slowly scatter, revealing beautiful leaves hidden underneath and uncovering the key ingredients behind the newly released premium perfumes.

For me, the biggest challenge in this project was calibrating the sensor so it aligned properly with the projected visuals, especially because this was my first project using a Hokuyo LiDAR sensor.

Here, I realized that even small distortions in the projection can significantly affect sensor trigger accuracy. It took many on-site adjustments and fine-tuning sessions to achieve satisfying results.
